- A university degree
- A formal teaching qualification, such as, a B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, PGdip or QTS (TESOL and TEFL certificates qualify teachers for ESL positions only)

The school is an independent school in Hangzhou, China, it provides education for students from the ages of 2 – 18, with children in nursery and reception following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. This is followed by the English National Curriculum, which is enhanced through the cross-curricula International Primary Curriculum from year 1 through to the end of year 9. In Key Stage 4, students’ study towards taking Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) to achieve IGCSEs prior to enrolling on its more advanced programme of study, A Levels in years 12 & 13.
