Mathematics Teacher in Madrid, Spain | International Schools in Spain | International School Jobs | We are looking for an experienced mathematics teacher to join our enthusiastic and highly skilled community of educators. Requirements

A university degree
A formal teaching qualification, such as, a B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, PGdip or QTS (TESOL and TEFL certificates qualify teachers for ESL positions only)
A minimum of 2 years of full time teaching experience in a school setting
Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language is ideal.
Excellent knowledge of the British National Curriculum and current assessment practices.
UK and Irish citizens only (client requirement)

The school

The school is an international school in Madrid, Spain, providing the British Curriculum for students in EYFS, primary and secondary students. With EYFS students learning through play, more structure being added in at Primary School and a subject specific focus at Secondary School. The school has a global vision, which is embedded across the entire curriculum and all subjects, and looks to develop cross-cultural experiences through exchanges with partner schools. At the heart of the curriculum is the idea that cross-curricular planning leads to developments in other areas of students’ learning not generally considered complementary or intuitive. Thus, taking a holistic approach to education and learning. Learning is largely question-based, with an emphasis on problem solving, aiming to build up a pupil’s ability to reason and think independently. The school also emphasis the large role that extracurricular activities play in the development of their students.

The location

Spain’s cultural richness is unique, brilliant and diverse, consisting of unique monuments, outstanding museums and masterpieces of universal art. The world renowned architect, Gaudi, hailed from Barcelona, where his masterpieces can be seen on display. Spain is also famous for its markets, vineyards and nightlife that does not end until the sun comes up.
