Yew Chung International School of Qingdao (YCIS Qingdao) is a bilingual K2 Year 13 international school founded in 2006, serving 2 18 year-olds with a multicultural student body drawn from over 30 countries. The school has an enrolment of approximately 331 students. It employs a diverse and experienced international faculty, with full-time staff from more than 10 nationalities. The student teacher ratio is about 4:1. Academically, YCIS Qingdao delivers a rich international programme. From Early Childhood, students experience a bilingual co-teaching model integrating English and Mandarin, based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. Primary years follow the English National Curriculum enhanced with Chinese language and cultural immersion. In secondary school, students first engage in the IGCSE programme, then transition to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13. The Secondary Section is accredited by Cambridge International Examinations and authorized as an IB World School.
