About Candidate
I am a Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and a licensed professional teacher with a strong academic foundation and a deep passion for teaching. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching English, having already completed all the academic requirements for the degree. Over the course of my career, I have gained six years of extensive teaching experience in English and Literature across elementary, secondary, and college levels, which has allowed me to develop adaptability, versatility, and a learner-centered approach to teaching.
At present, I am working in Thailand as a Foreign English Language Teacher, where I handle English and Conversation subjects for Grades 1–6, catering to students aged 6–13. This role has honed my ability to manage diverse classrooms, foster interactive learning, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of young learners from multicultural backgrounds. Prior to this, I taught English and Literature at Occidental Mindoro State College for six years, handling both secondary and college students. My time there also allowed me to serve as administrative staff to the Vice President, where I contributed as a narrative writer of academic and accreditation documents and as a critic reader of undergraduate research, roles that strengthened my skills in academic writing, organization, and attention to detail.
Beyond my formal teaching career, I gained valuable experience in freelance tutoring, providing one-on-one academic support to learners during my college years, as well as through my four-month teaching internship. I also hold TESOL and TEYL certifications, which further enrich my teaching practices and enable me to integrate modern, research-based strategies into my lessons.
My key qualities include being dedicated, resourceful, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to helping students develop strong communication skills and a lifelong appreciation for learning. I am also organized, innovative, and collaborative, with the ability to balance both instructional and administrative responsibilities effectively. These qualities, combined with my strong academic background and diverse teaching experiences, make me confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to any academic institution.
