Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive American curriculum to students in upper elementary grades (ages 8-11), creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment, and contributing to the holistic development of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum for upper elementary students.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and well-being.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • A valid teaching license, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent certification is ideal.
  • Experience teaching upper elementary grades (ages 8-11) is preferred; newly qualified teachers (NQTs/ECTs) with relevant practicum experience are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates ideally based in Korea are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
