Job Description

Kaiwen Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary English Language Arts Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in literature, writing, and language analysis to secondary students.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop critical thinking, communication skills, and confidence in academic writing.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Planning

  • Design and implement engaging English Language Arts lessons that support curriculum standards and encourage students to explore literature, writing, and language in depth.

Instructional Strategies

Use diverse teaching approaches including:

  • Literary analysis and discussion-based learning
  • Creative and academic writing development
  • Collaborative projects and presentations
  • Technology-enhanced learning activities
  • These strategies help accommodate different learning styles and maximise student engagement.

Assessment and Feedback

  • Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding academic performance.

Positive Learning Environment

Create a classroom culture that encourages:

  • Critical thinking and textual analysis
  • Creativity in writing and expression

Collaboration

Requirements

Candidates applying for the Secondary English Language Arts Teacher job in Beijing should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Education, or a related subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, teaching license, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in English Language Arts at secondary level
  • Experience teaching international curricula such as IGCSE, A-Level, AP, or equivalent
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Passion for literature, language education, and student development
