Calvin Manitoba International School is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Physical Education (PE) Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will lead PE programs for students across all high school grade levels, from Grade 9 to Grade 12, within a Manitoba (Canadian) Curriculum framework. This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about promoting fitness, wellness, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits in an international school setting.

The PE Teacher will work closely with students, faculty, and parents to develop engaging, inclusive, and safe physical education programs that meet curriculum standards while encouraging students to explore diverse sports, activities, and fitness challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the holistic development of students in a globally minded, international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality Physical Education classes aligned with Manitoba curriculum standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging, safe, and inclusive PE programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Organize and coach school sports teams, competitions, and tournaments, both within the school and in inter-school events.
  • Promote wellness, healthy lifestyles, and positive physical activity habits among students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, participation, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate cross-curricular initiatives promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about PE program objectives, events, and student achievements.
  • Support extracurricular sports clubs, after-school programs, and fitness initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certificate or equivalent qualification recognized in Canada or internationally.
  • Experience teaching Physical Education in high school or international school settings.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Native-level English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Experience coaching competitive sports teams.
  • Experience teaching in international schools or with the Manitoba curriculum.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
