Calvin Manitoba International School is seeking a motivated and experienced PE Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role combines high-quality Physical Education instruction with school-wide athletics leadership, overseeing programs from Grades K-12 and supporting student development through sports, wellness, and positive athletic experiences. The Athletic Director will lead the school’s athletics programs, including KAIAC (Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference) competitions, while fostering sportsmanship, school spirit, and the principles of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD).

The ideal candidate is passionate about PE and school athletics, possesses strong leadership skills, and is committed to delivering an inclusive, engaging, and safe athletic program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physical Education and Health classes aligned with the Manitoba curriculum.
  • Coordinate and oversee the school’s athletics program across all grade levels.
  • Collaborate with Athletic Directors at other international schools to organize interschool athletics, including leagues, tournaments, and KAIAC competitions.
  • Recruit, support, and supervise coaches, providing guidance on expectations, best practices, and professional development.
  • Develop and manage athletic schedules, facilities usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure student safety, supervision, and compliance with school policies and risk management standards.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, coaches, and school leadership regarding athletics programs, events, and policies.
  • Monitor and manage the athletic budget, inventory, and resources.
  • Support school-wide events and contribute to a positive school culture through athletics, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.

Requirements
  • Valid teaching certification (Manitoba or equivalent) or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience in athletics coordination, coaching, or sport program leadership.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of school athletics policies, safety standards, and risk management protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional coaching certification.
  • Experience with KAIAC competitions or similar interschool leagues.
  • International school experience and familiarity with Canadian curriculum frameworks.
  • Strong background in Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles.
