Atherton International School
About Company
Atherton International School (AIS) provides an inspiring and fulfilling teaching environment for educators who are committed to making a meaningful impact. Serving students from ages 2 to 18, AIS upholds a tradition of academic excellence within a vibrant, international learning community where both teachers and students can thrive.
In the Early Years program, children aged 3+ embark on their educational journey in a nurturing, play-based environment. Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, this stage emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and the development of foundational skills, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning. Students in Years 7 to 9 follow the English National Curriculum in conjunction with the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). This engaging and interdisciplinary program fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning, preparing students to tackle future academic and personal challenges. In Years 10 and 11, students work towards up to 8 IGCSE subjects, earning globally recognized qualifications. For Years 12 and 13, the focus shifts to up to 3 A-Level subjects, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and credentials required for admission to top universities worldwide.
AIS recognizes educators as essential contributors to its culture of excellence. The school prioritizes professional growth, collaboration, and innovation, enabling teachers to deliver enriching, high-impact education. Educators at AIS play a key role in inspiring the next generation while advancing their own careers within a supportive and dynamic environment.
