Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education and Health Teacher with expertise in secondary education, particularly within an IB framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Grades 6–12, curriculum development, and implementing innovative strategies to engage students.

As ISL works toward full accreditation as an MYP school, enthusiasm for designing authentic, creative units is essential. We’re looking for someone who inspires an active and healthy lifestyle, fosters teamwork and leadership, and integrates modern practices in health and physical education. Adaptability and a commitment to student well-being are vital for success in this role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Teaching certification or equivalent qualification required.
Minimum of two years of experience teaching physical education and health to secondary students, ideally in an IB environment.
Proven expertise in teaching Grades 6–12 with a strong focus on curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
Enthusiasm for designing authentic and creative units within the MYP framework.
Ability to promote active and healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and leadership among students.
Knowledge of contemporary practices in health and physical education.
Strong commitment to fostering student well-being and holistic development.
