Job Description
BHA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social-Emotional Counselor to support the well-being of students in Grades 6-12. In this role, you will provide individual and group counseling, promote mental health awareness, and foster a positive, inclusive school environment. If you are passionate about guiding adolescents through their social and emotional development, we’d love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- A recognized counseling certification or licensure (e.g., school counselor certification, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a school counselor, preferably in an international or IB school setting.
- Strong knowledge of adolescent development, mental health support, and social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies.
- Experience providing individual and group counseling to students in Middle and Senior School (Grades 6-12).
- Familiarity with child protection policies, safeguarding protocols, and crisis intervention strategies.
