Job Description

FlyTeachers is seeking an experienced Secondary ICT Teacher (Bilingual or International) for Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy (CKWA) in Beijing, China, starting ASAP 2025.

This ICT teaching position is ideal for a passionate educator with strong STEAM / Computer Science experience who can teach in a bilingual or fully international secondary school environment.

You will teach ICT / Computer Science / STEAM-related courses to secondary students, supporting both bilingual and international streams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Secondary ICT Teacher at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy, you will:

  • Teach ICT and/or Computer Science to secondary students (e.g. coding, digital literacy, computing theory, applications)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that develop technical skills, creativity and problem-solving
  • Integrate ICT into STEAM projects, cross-curricular activities and inquiry-based learning
  • Use a range of formative and summative assessments to monitor and support student progress
  • Incorporate educational technology, learning platforms and digital tools into daily teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop bilingual and international ICT curriculum pathways
  • Support and promote digital citizenship, online safety and responsible technology use
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues in an international school setting
  • Contribute to co-curricular activities, such as coding clubs, robotics, makerspace, esports or innovation projects

Requirements

To be considered for this ASAP 2025 Secondary ICT Teacher vacancy, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (preferably in ICT, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a closely related field)
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., teaching licence/certification)
  • Over 3 years of experience in teaching STEAM / Computer Science / ICT at secondary level
  • Education background related to the subject (ICT / Computer Science / STEAM)
  • Proficient English (spoken and written) – able to work effectively in a bilingual / international environment
  • Able to meet visa application requirements for Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy and the Chinese work visa (Z visa) regulations

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching in a bilingual or international school
  • Familiarity with Chinese + international curricula (Cambridge, IB, AP, etc.)
  • Experience running ICT/STEAM clubs, robotics, coding competitions or innovation projects
