Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing Nursery Teacher looking for an exciting international teaching opportunity in South Korea? A well-established British curriculum international school in Dongtan is tentatively seeking an experienced Nursery Teacher to join its expanding Early Years team from November 2026.

The Role
The successful Nursery Teacher will inspire young learners through engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
The role involves creating an inclusive classroom where children develop communication, confidence, independence, creativity, and early literacy and numeracy skills while fostering a genuine love of learning.
Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents, you will ensure every child receives personalised support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
As Nursery Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging EYFS lessons through purposeful play and inquiry-based learning
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
- Plan differentiated learning experiences to meet individual needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils and families
- Encourage children’s independence and confidence
- Promote excellent behaviour through positive reinforcement
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Early Years department
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and professional development
- Maintain accurate assessment records and reports
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a degree with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Nursery or Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills
- High level of spoken and written English
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for child-centred education
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Experience teaching in an international school is welcomed but is not essential.
