Job Overview – Primary PHE Teacher
As a Primary PHE Teacher at BSJ, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality physical education lessons across the primary year groups
  • Promote teamwork, confidence, physical literacy, and healthy lifestyles
  • Plan and lead a variety of sports and physical activities, both recreational and competitive
  • Encourage participation and inclusion for all students, regardless of ability level
  • Stay at the forefront of educational trends and adapt your teaching to meet student needs
  • Contribute to a wide range of school-based sporting events and extra-curricular opportunities

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in physical education at the primary level
  • Excellent subject knowledge and up-to-date best practices in PHE teaching
  • Experience with the English National Curriculum, IPC, IB PYP, or similar international curricula
  • A commitment to inclusive, holistic education and child wellbeing
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative teaching style
  • A valid teaching license or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS and police clearance as part of safeguarding
