Job Description
Job Title: Physics Teacher – High School
Location: Al Ittihad Private School – Al Mamzar, Dubai, UAE
Start Date: August 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Renewable Annually
Curriculum: American Curriculum (NGSS)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School Physics Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Physics at the high school level and be well-versed in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). You will play a vital role in engaging students through inquiry-based learning and preparing them for higher education in STEM fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physics instruction to students in Grades 9–12 following NGSS guidelines
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking
- Use varied assessment strategies to measure student progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance interdisciplinary teaching
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a respectful, values-based learning environment
- Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license in Secondary Science or Physics
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant high school teaching experience
- Experience with American curriculum (NGSS) highly preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and culturally responsive teaching practices
- UAE teaching experience is an advantage but not essential
