FlyTeachers is recruiting on behalf of YMK Globe for an exciting A-Level Chemistry Teacher opportunity in Seoul, South Korea. This is a fantastic role for a motivated and academically strong candidate who is passionate about science education and interested in teaching ambitious Korean students preparing for entry to leading UK universities.

About the Role
As an A-Level Chemistry Teacher at YMK Globe, you will teach students aged 17 to 20 who are studying towards the British A-Level curriculum. Your lessons should be engaging, well-structured, and academically rigorous, helping students develop subject knowledge, confidence, and examination technique.
This is not just a classroom-only position. The role also includes a broader contribution to student support and school life. You may assist with mock examinations, UCAS applications, personal statements, and references, as well as occasional support with students’ English communication skills, such as IELTS speaking practice.
YMK Globe is looking for a teacher who is flexible, positive, and willing to contribute to the wider community. The role may also involve participating in school outreach and marketing activities, including appearing in blog or YouTube content.
The ideal start date is June 2026, although the school can be quite flexible depending on the successful candidate’s availability.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and effective A-Level Chemistry lessons in English
- Prepare students for assessments and mock examinations
- Support learners with academic progress and study planning
- Assist students with UCAS applications, including personal statements and references
- Contribute to academic administration and general support tasks
- Help students develop English proficiency where needed
- Participate in occasional school marketing and outreach activities
- Work collaboratively with British and Korean colleagues

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree minimum
- A Master’s degree preferred
- A strong academic record at school and university level
- A passion for Chemistry, science, and education
- An international mindset and openness to new cultures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good organisation, resilience, and self-motivation
- A visa that already allows legal employment in South Korea
Candidates with personal experience of the British curriculum, including A-Level or UK university study, are particularly encouraged to apply. However, applications are welcomed from a wide range of backgrounds.
