Job Description

British Education Korea (BEK) is seeking an outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team for an August/September start. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to teach the British Curriculum in one of South Korea’s leading international education environments.

The Role

As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons that encourage students to become confident problem-solvers and independent learners. You will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

You will:

Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons following the British Curriculum.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
Prepare students for GCSE and, where appropriate, A Level examinations.
Create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree with a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or equivalent.
Experience teaching Secondary Mathematics within the British Curriculum.
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an international teaching team.
A passion for inspiring students and helping them achieve their full academic potential.

Visa Requirements:

Candidates who are currently based in South Korea are highly desirable, as they will be able to transition into the role more smoothly.
Applicants who are currently overseas will also be considered, provided they have the necessary documentation and eligibility to obtain a Korean work visa.
Candidates with existing Korean visa status or relevant visa documentation will be prioritised.
