Job Description
YK Pao School is seeking an experienced and passionate Middle School English Literature Teacher to join our dedicated team at the Hongqiao campus. This role involves teaching English Literature to Years 6–8, nurturing students’ love for reading, analytical thinking, and effective communication.
A full-time teacher is expected to teach 60% of the timetable, which includes 18 lessons out of a total of 30 weekly lessons. Classes typically consist of approximately 24 students, offering an excellent opportunity to engage with learners in a focused and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Possession of a relevant degree, along with a UK PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification that grants QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience.
- Strong familiarity with the National Curriculum of England, particularly in English
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level English
- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or equivalent as part of the application process.
