A university degree
A formal teaching qualification, such as, a B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, PGdip or QTS (TESOL and TEFL certificates qualify teachers for ESL positions only)
A minimum of 2 years of full time teaching experience in a school setting
Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language is ideal.
Excellent knowledge of the British National Curriculum and current assessment practices.

The school is an international school in Barcelona, Spain, providing the British Curriculum for students in EYFS, primary and secondary students. With EYFS students learning through play, more structure being added in at Primary School and a subject specific focus at Secondary School, with students studying towards the Cambridge IGCSE. From years 12 – 13, students work towards achieving their A Levels. The school has excellent teaching facilities, friendly, hardworking and supportive colleagues and cheerful, high-achieving pupils. Learning is largely question-based, with an emphasis on problem solving, aiming to build up a pupil’s ability to reason and think independently. The school also emphasis the large role that extracurricular activities play in the development of their students.

The world renowned architect, Gaudi, hailed from Barcelona, where his masterpieces can be seen on display. Spain is also famous for its markets, vineyards and nightlife that does not end until the sun comes up.
