Requirements
  • Hold a degree from a recognised university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, USA, or an EU country.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., DipT). TEFL certificates alone are not sufficient.
  • Have at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience, including at least 1 year teaching English or ESL.
  • Are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Hold a valid driving licence and are comfortable driving a manual car (required to obtain a Bruneian driving licence).
  • Are under 55 years of age at the time of arrival in Brunei.
Salary and Benefits Package
  • A tax-free salary of up to BND66,000 (around £38,000), with additional financial incentives.
  • A Contract Completion Bonus of 1/6th of your total salary.

  • Education allowance for up to two dependent children (or four if both spouses teach).
