Calvin Manitoba International School is seeking a highly qualified AP Physics Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about teaching high school Physics and AP Physics courses and are interested in international teaching opportunities in Korea. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses, including high school Physics 30S/42S and Advanced Placement (AP) Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and/or AP Physics C, helping students build strong conceptual understanding, practical skills, and AP exam readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach high school Physics courses aligned with curriculum standards and AP Physics courses following College Board guidelines.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, labs, demonstrations, and assessments that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Prepare students for AP Physics exams through structured instruction, practice problems, and laboratory work.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, track student progress, and communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to develop curriculum, share resources, and participate in professional development programs.
  • Optionally, supervise or lead STEM-focused extracurricular activities, such as Physics Club, Science Fair projects, or Science Olympiad competitions.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and independent thinking.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification recognized in Canada or an equivalent credential.
  • Strong knowledge of high school Physics and AP Physics curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to student success and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching AP Physics courses and preparing students for AP exams.
  • Experience running and managing physics laboratories safely and effectively.
  • Master’s degree in a STEM-related field or Science Education is highly desirable.
  • Experience mentoring students and leading STEM-related extracurricular programs.
  • Previous international teaching experience is a strong advantage, particularly in Korea.
