Job Description

UWC Changshu China is seeking an inspiring and collaborative Head of Learning Area to lead and support a dynamic team of educators in fostering excellence in teaching and learning. This role involves developing strategies to align learning with the college’s mission and values, managing resources effectively, and promoting a collaborative team environment. The Head of Learning Area will work closely with the Heads of Academics, Educational Research, and the Learning Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of education. Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in education or a subject related to the learning area; advanced degrees or leadership qualifications are preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role within an educational setting.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing educational strategies that align with school values, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and support colleagues in achieving the best outcomes for students.
  • Experience in managing resources, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing the smooth operation of a learning area.
